“The Moda client has always had an appetite for luxury,” explained Lauren Santo Domingo. “She is also technologically adept, and looks for the path between iconic heritage brands and modern e-commerce. My job is to forge that path, connecting the Moda woman.” The cofounder and chief brand officer of Moda Operandi, the Carmen-backed ‘straight from the runway’ fashion e-tailer, was speaking to WWD.com’s Lisa Lockwood earlier this week about her work with Louis Vuitton. And in her first collaboration with a fashion house on a campaign, it showcases the French brand’s Capucines bags.
Taking its name from the Rue des Capucines in Paris, where Louis Vuitton opened his first store in 1854, the distinctive bag combines fine craftsmanship with function. The campaign, titled “A Day in The Life Of The Capucines”, takes the form of a digital film, and follows Santo Domingo through her day in New York, wearing a different Capucines bag for her different daily activities, from her morning commute to dressing up for a night out. Seven bags are featured in all.
The film appears on Louis Vuitton’s social platforms, as well as those of Moda Operandi and Santo Domingo’s own, and we’ve posted it here:
The luxury e-tailer’s clients and their personal stylists will have direct access to Louis Vuitton sales teams to purchase the Capucines bags. Visit Moda Operandi here.

I was brought up by spiritual parents and we often discussed death as being a natural part of life – needing to make it our mission to continue growing and evolving until our last breath. So, in spite of the sadness of losing Castro, it comforts me to think that he died evolving and at peace.
