Bestselling author and my personal friend Deepak Chopra shares 15 spiritual secrets for enlightenment in The Book of Secrets: Unlocking the Hidden Dimensions of Your Life, assuring that finding the hidden dimensions in yourself is the only way to really be fulfilled.
As a devotee to spiritual reading, I've read all of Deepak’s books, but this one is truly special and uplifting. It’s one of the most direct and tells the complete story of how he sees the individual spirit and the route to enlightenment.
What is great about the book for anyone starved for time is that Deepak provides tangible strategies you can apply. Each chapter focuses around a ‘secret’ such as The World Is In You, What You Seek You Already Are, and The Meaning Of Life Is Everything. At the end of each chapter he provides exercises and suggestions as to how one can attune to the secret discussed.
One of my favourite quotes from within the book is: “If you obsess over whether you are making the right decision, you are basically assuming that the universe will reward you for one thing and punish you for another. The universe has no fixed agenda. Once you make any decision, it works around that decision. There is no right or wrong, only a series of possibilities that shift with each thought, feeling, and action that you experience.” We can all relate to frustrations around decision-making, as it’s human nature to be fraught with the nagging feeling that we’re making the wrong choices, and on the verge of ‘screwing up’.
This is a highly recommended book to help reinvigorate you if you feel you are off-balance, stuck in a rut in any area of your life, or need a fresh wave of inspiration to start a project.
