From humble beginnings staged in a single tent in the garden of the Royal Horticultural Society in Kensington back in 1862, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show is now recognized as the world’s most lauded event of its kind, attracting exhibitors and visitors from across the globe to its now purpose built pavilion in the grounds of London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea. And to celebrate this year’s show, which runs until 26th May, Carmen-backed FLOWERBX has brought the surrounding area to life, transforming the Birley stable of Mayfair clubs and restaurants into spectacular displays of summer’s most resplendent blooms.
Spherical balls of white, light pink, dark pink and fuchsia peonies decorate the arched entryway to Mount Street’s contemporary private member’s club, George.
At Mark’s Club, fuchsia, purple and red peony spheres add an element of floral fun to the balcony above the entrance.
Peony spheres in tonal hues of red, fuchsia and pink provide an explosion of color above Harry’s Bar’s traditionally elegant doorway.
And FLOWERBX has not only covered the four-storey facade of Annabel’s on Berkeley Square in burgundy, fuschia and pale pink hydrangeas, but decorated the inside too. And the club’s restaurant is also serving bespoke floral-inspired menus and cocktails for the duration of the RHS show.
Floral-inspired culinary delights are also now being served at London’s Balthazar restaurant, courtesy of FLOWERBX, where founder Whitney Bromberg Hawkings has collaborated with Head Pastry Chef Régis Beauregard to create the Balthazar x FLOWERBX Afternoon Tea. Cakes in the shape of seasonal blooms in favorite FLOWERBX hues have been infused with flavors to complement the flowers, and include an apple and blackberry tulip, coconut and yuzu hydrangea, salted caramel anemone and lemon and blueberry dahlia. And there is even a Flowerbx Fizz cocktail, created by Balthazar Bar Manager Brian Silva, that includes crushed violet petals.
